The researches contradict the thesis that the muscles become loose again when people stop working out.
Do the people who become very fit again in a shorter time than you do right after they restart working out surprise you? Science says that there is a reason for such people to be fit again in a short time. The muscles have a memory that remembers their old powers and this seems lasting for the rest of the life. This interesting information is provided by Kristian Gundersen, psychologist from Oslo University, and his team in the report of their research and this came as very good news for the people who used to exercise in previous times. The researches contradict the thesis that the muscles become loose again when people stop working out. Saying that their researches prove the changes in the muscles leave some permanent results, Gundersen explains that they do not know whether this permanency will be eternal but they know that it will be for a long time. Starting the researches by working on mice, made them exercise their muscles for some time. During this period, the muscles change small cell cores that produce new muscles like a factory and called “nuclei”. When the mice were stopped working out, their muscles were observed by micro cameras. Then it was found out that although the muscles started to lose their muscle masses, they continued to produce the said cell cores. These cores allow the muscles to change into the old forms when people start working out. The earlier you start exercising, the better. Remarking that the memory capability of the muscles get weaker in time, although the muscles exercised previously can come back, Psychologist Gundersen said, “We know that developing the nuclei cores is easier in young ages. Therefore, if you exercise a lot when you are young, you will be fit again when you exercise in further ages. When you get old, you will find out the benefits of exercising you did when you were young.”
The Scientific Researches prove that if you exercise a lot when you are young, you will be fit again when you exercise in further ages because the muscles respond positively quickly, thanks to the exercising history of the body.
